Actor Yoon Shi Yoon has been offered the role in the Joseon drama entitled Dae Gun.
On 9th November, the new drama is scheduled to air early next January 2018. Currently Yoon is a regular cast member in the popular variety show KBS 2 Days 1 Night and SBS My Big Question. As a result, fans are wondering will the actor return back to drama land.
Dae Gun is about records of the desire and genuine love surrounding the woman who wanted to make her world come alive by killing her younger sister. It is set in the historical drama that depicts the blood romances of two princes surrounding a woman. Yoon will be playing the role of Lee Kang. Apparently other casts roles were offered to Joo Sang Wook and Jin Se Yeon.
If Yoon takes up the role in Dae Gun, it will be his 2nd periodic drama since last 7 months he wrapped up the KBS drama The Best Hit directed by Cha Tae Hyun and PD Yoo Ho Jin.
Yoon was recognised as an actor for his debut performance in High Kick Through the Roof series followed by the big drama Baker King: Kim Tak Gu and Flower Me too!, Prime Minister and I. After discharge from the military, his first drama was The Mirror's Witch has proven he could do well in periodical drama.
Dae Gun is under JTBC network by the writer who wrote The Maids and director PD Kim Jeong Min who directed Princess Man and Joseon Gunman.
