BTS wins 1st in Idol Brand in October, followed by Wanna One and EXO.

The top 100 brands of idol groups were analysed by Big Data analysis in October 2017 where results showed top ranking spots were taken by BTS, Wanna One and EXO.
                                                        

The Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute has extracted 152,549,631 pieces of group brand Big Data for 100 idols from September 7, 2017 to October 8, 2017 to analyse the reputable Big Data of the idol groups brand. The brand index, the media index, the communication index, and the community index. Compared to 134,115,578 big data of the 100 biggest brands of the idol group in July has increased by 13.74%.

Brand reputation index is an indicator of brand big data analysis that finds consumers' online habits with big influence on brand consumption. Through the reputation analysis of the top 100 brands of the idol group, it is possible to measure positive evaluations, media interest, consumer interest and traffic for the top 100 idol groups. The reputation analysis of the top 100 brands of the idol group was analysed based on the brand reaction to the idol group, unlike the singer brand reputation analysis which focused on the consumer response to the sound source.

In October, 2017, Idol Group ranked as one of the top 100 brands in the rankings. The rankings of the top 30 are: Bulletproof Boys, Warner One, Exo, Twis, Red Velvet, Zexkis, Girlfriend, E Pink, Black Pink, Girls' Generation, Lovers, Big Bang, It was analyzed in the following order: BiToBi, Myth, NCT, B1A4, Seventeen, Space Girl, Rainbow, Bix, April, Shiny, Pentagon, Infinite, Stella, Tiara, WikiMicky, Pristine, BAP.

First rank was BTS group (Rap Monster, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jong Guk) were analysed by the participation index 4,633,816, the media index 2,394,740, the communication index 3,731,865, and the community index 4,803,626 15,564,047. Compared to the bulletin board boycott brand reputation index 7,461,949 in July, it  has surged by 108.58%. 

Second spot was snagged by Wanna One (Kang Daniel, Park Ji Hoon, Lee Dae Hwi, Kim Jae Hwan, Ong Seung Woo, Park Woo Jin, Lai Kuan Lin, Yoon Ji Sung, Hwang Min Hyun, Bae Jin Young, Ha Sung Woon) as the participation index 1 2,450,184 media index ,2,783,373 communication index 4,035,361 community index became 5,538,668 and the brand reputation, The index was analysed at 14,807,585. Rookie group Wanna One is included in the analysis of the top 100 brands of the Idol Group.

Third rank went to EXO (Suho, Chanyeol, Xiumin, D.O, Kai, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Sehun) with  851,400, the media index is 1,945,280, the communication index is 2,735,662, the community index is 1,550,469, and the brand reputation index is 7,082,810. It was analysed. Compared with the EXO brand reputation index of 10,285,707 in July, it fell by 31.14%.

4th spot went to girl group TWICE, where brands were analysed as brand participation index 1,331,440 media index 1,402,398 communication index 1,647,950 community index 2,119,609 and brand reputation index 6,501,397. Compared to the July Twice brand reputation index of 8,639,747 in July, it also fell by 24.75%.

5th rank was RED VELVET with brands were analysed as brand participation index of 472,384, media index of 1,699,369, communication index of 1,114,784 community index of 2,068,207, and brand reputation index of 5,354,744. Compared to July's red velvet brand reputation index of 10,378,659 in July, it fell 48.41%.

Looks like girl groups are not as popular as they were; with Wanna One debuting in August and snagging many awards, endorsements and appearing in major variety shows. Even EXO's popularity has dropped down a bit however BTS is standing strong with BTS Army showing all their might and support for them.
