BIFF 2017 opening ceremony with Kim Ha Neul and Jang Dong Gun.

Actress Kim Ha Neul (39) and actor Jang Dong Gun (45) will officiate the opening ceremony of the Busan International Film Festival this year.

According to the 12th Film Festival Secretariat, the two celebrities will hold the opening
ceremony of the 22nd Busan International Film Festival to be held at the Haeundae Film Festival in October. The two are finally reunited once again after 5 years since they have been acted together in the drama "Gentlemen's Dignity" in 2012.

Jang Dong Gun made his debut in the drama 'Our Heaven' in 1990 and since then he has made his debut in the movie 'Friends' (2001) 'Taegukgi' (2003), 'The Last Fight' (1994) (2000) and 'Gentleman's Dignity' (2012). Following the release of his latest movie flick 'VIP' (2017), 'A Night of Seven Years' (2017) and 'Prodigy' (2018) are also on the way of his project scheduled.

Kim Ha Neul is one of the actresses to win the Best Actress Award at the Daejong Film Festival and the Blue Dragon Film after having set foot in the film industry with the film 'Bye June' in 1998. 

Her movie Ditto (2000), "My Tutor Friend" (2003), "Too Beautiful To Lie" (2004) and then she moved onto dramas such as 'On Air' (2008) and 'Gentleman's Dignity' (2012). The film 2016 'Misbehaviour', which was screened earlier this year  was invited to the 'Today - Panorama' section of the Korean Film Festival.


Meanwhile, the BIFF 2017 will be held from 12th- 21st October.
