There were many major events that took place in 2016. Around the world, we lost a few legendary singers such as David Bowie, Prince, actor Alan Rickman (from Harry Potter), heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali, golfer Arnold Palmer and many more.
There were wedding bells for Eva Longoria, swimmer Michael Phelps, comedian Kevin Hart but also divorces from Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, famous couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, singer Gwen Stefani..etc.
The world economy was shaky with oil prices dropping like nothing for the first half of the year which truly affects my organisation that I've been with for so many years.
Manufacturing are suffering a lot too and there have been many unemployment.
And of all the biggest event was the voting and campaign for US where Trump vs Clinton.
Surprisingly Trump triumphs over the event and many people were stoked. We have some shocking news from South Korea where the scandal of President Park Geun Hye with her friend who has been involved in the huge corruption problem. It's never ending and I can see that Park might need to step down looking at how the citizens are so against her leadership.
As for K-entertainment, were happy endings for couples such as Goo Hye Sun-Ahn Jae Hyun, After School Kahi married CEO Yang Jun Mo, power couple Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young became parents, former U-Kiss Eli and wife, actress Han Ga In welcomes a new baby after marriage for many years, ex- H.O.T leader Moon Hee Jun with Crayon Pop member...new relationship formed where UEE started dating actor Lee Sang Yoon.
It also marked the start of first generation idols returning back to entertainment industry. Sechs Kies returned after 16 years of separation and they were stronger than ever. As for dramas, we see first half of 2016 was dominated by Song-Song Couple (Song Joong Ki and Song Hae Gyo) from the drama Descendants of the Sun. Second half is all flooded with Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung from the drama Moonlight drawn by Clouds.
Then came in BTS conquered the music industry and winning the Dae-Sang award over the popular group EXO. Well, it's time for BTS army fans to start celebrating over their hard work. As for girl groups- fans of girl 2NE1 are devastated over the breakup of the group however there is Black Pink that seems to win over the new fans.
What's more we see that the drama land is clutching more viewers from various ages with romantic handsome veteran actors coming back such as Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Park Hae Jin and many more.
As the clock ticks faster, we are nearing to end of December which means there will be plenty of entertainment, drama and music awards for 2016. For KBS by all means, we are watching for Song-Song Couple including Bo-Yoo couple- who will be taking the Dae-Sang...I am on the edge hoping the two couples do win something :D
