Winners for Seoul International Drama Awards 2016.

The British-American TV series 'The Night Manager' was crowned as a winner (Dae-sang) award including the local popular South Korean KBS drama 'Descendants of the Sun' winning three prizes in the local drama category for the 2016 Seoul International Drama Awards. Best Director award also goes to Susanne Bier from The Night Manager.

The Drama awards category was awarded to SBS's Six Flying Dragons with the history for the first Joseon dynasty King Taejo and his sons feud for forming the government with PM Jeong Do Jeon. France's Don't Leave Me won the Best Short Form Drama award.

Descendants of the Sun proved to be the leader of all as they swept through the main awards including Hallyu Star Award, Best Drama and Best Actor Award. Actor Song Joong Ki was present to receive the Best Actor award for his role as a military commander. Even the original soundtrack of the drama grabbed the Best Theme Song Award sung by female vocalist Gummy.

The Special Jury’s Special Prize was awarded to Australia's Journey and Endless Love from Turkey. 

Actress Shin Min Ah won Best Actress Award for her role in Oh! My Venus. Among the guests present were Chinese actor Anthony Wong, model Hong Jong Hyun, actress So Yoo Jin and actor/model Sung Hoon fresh from drama Five Children, Girls' Day Hyeri and Minah, actor Shin Hyun Jun, CN Blue's Kang Min Hyuk and many more.

As for performances, guests and fans were treated to singing-dancing by K.Will, BAP, EXID and Gummy.
