Age of Shadows presents independence movement history and spy.

This year itself South Korea has been releasing a handful of action and thrilling movies in local cinemas and worldwide. Among those to be invited into Venice and Toronto International Film Festival is 'The Age of Shadows 밀정'. The movie is also been submitted for the Best Foreign Language Film in Academy Awards.

PD Kim Jae Woon directed the film with A-List actors Gong Yoo and Song Kang Ho starring in this action flick set during the Japanese occupation. Song plays as Cop Lee Jung Chul who flagged off his loyalty from his own country to the Japanese government.
There were tips and information provided that the independence fighters are arriving in from Shanghai to carry on some important explosives to export back to South Korea.

Kim Woo Jin played by Gong Yoo is an antique owner and part of the independence group. He befriended Jung Chul while both are aware of each other's existence and sneaky plans.
A young Japanese agent Hashimoto is assigned together with Jung Chul to capture Woo Jin. There is little love line  in this movie except a slight romance where Woo Jin is in love with one of the girls Yoon Gye Sun played by Han Ji Min

We can expect a full performance from Song Kang Ho who is famed for his action packed movies while newbie Uhm Tae Goo is a meanie in this movie. Audience is once more treated to a cameo appearance by veteran actor Lee Byung Hun as the real independence group leader. While fresh from the success of the movie Train to Busan, Gong Yoo is perhaps one of the busiest man this year promoting three movies.  Ah...Shin Seung Rok is part of the movie as well.

"The Age of Shadows" opens in cinemas on 7th September 2016 distributed by Warner Bros.
