Get ready for Jap singer Utada Hikaru's comeback.

It has been a while since we last heard of the popular solo female singer Utada Hikaru who has made waves in the music industry. She was widely known for her hit single First Love in late 1997. A child prodigy in music, Utada is born and bred in USA from a Japanese music producer and his wife who is a singer. 

Utada has continued releasing various singles and albums from 1997-2003. Her major hit singles include "Addicted to You", "Wait & See (Risk)", "For You" / "Time Limit" and "Can You Keep a Secret?". The singer put everything to a major stop when she encountered some illness with her ovaries. The album Deep River continued to do well in the Japanese's Oricon charts. In 2003, she was heavily involved in promoting to release her English titled album. 

In 2004, the singer moved back to New York to work on with a new contract and album. Exodus was the title of the album with the help of producer Timbaland venturing inside the American market. From 2005 onwards, Utada moved back to her motherland to hold concerts and promote her 4th album Ultra Blue. Ultra Blue took the top spots in Oricon charts.

The famed Japanese drama Hero starring Takuya Kimura has its OST sung by Utada entitled Can You Keep a Secret?. Then in 2007, she contributed to the soundtrack for the manga adaption series Hana Yori Dango entitled Flavor of Life. At the end of December 2008, she released a new single Come Back to Me. After many years of singing, Utada announced she will take a break in 2010. The singer has married twice. First she married photographer Kazuaki Kiriya in 2002 but divorced 5 years later. In 2014, she is re-married to Francesco Calianno in Italy. From the 2nd marriage, Utada has given birth to a baby boy in 2015 and enjoying motherhood. 

Now the singer is scheduled for a new comeback to raise funds for the 2011 Tohaku earthquake relief. It will be released in April 4th. Stay tune for more updates.
