Psychological K-Dramas are on the heat!

The major broadcasting stations of Korea are on the trail of airing tons of psychological twist K-Dramas for the public and even on paid cable channels.
We have Jekyll, Hyde and Me, Kill Me Heal Me and Heart to Heart airing in the same month and year for the viewers to choose. And what is the main reason they are airing so many pscyhological dramas at the same time?

"Kill Me, Heal Me" drama starring Ji Sung, Hwang Jung Eum and Park Seo Jun kicked off with a good start episode ratings from the viewers. The split various personalities of Cha Do Hyun- a meek timid chaebol hair to ID Entertainment Group to wild sexy Shin Se Gi to the bubbly bomb geek Ferry Park makes me cringe and laugh. I find the Secretary Ahn played by Choi Won Young is a notable character. First of all he also plays as the PA in The Heirs drama alongside Lee Min Ho. Now he's guiding Ji Sung coping with his identity disorder illness while assisting him from being threatened by Ki Jun- Do Hyun's cousin brother.

Kim Young Ae, the veteran actress is playing as the rich grandmother and Chairwoman who owns ID Entertainment Co. First she was in Birth of the Beauty as Kang Jun's half-witted mother and now she is a powerful Chairwoman. Woman of power!

There is "Jekyll, Hyde and I" drama starring Hyun Bin and Han Ji Min. These 2 are collaborating for the 2nd time after filming the sageuk movie The Fatal Encounter. Now the 2 are back in TV screen playing as chaebol owner Go Seo Jin and circus master Jang Ha Na in rivals for bidding over the boring circus of Wonderland Park. Go Seo Jin is also another person suffering from split personalities after suffering a trauma. I have yet to watch how Hyun Bin transforms from the cold measly Seo Jin to the nice warm Robin personality. The co-stars are Sung Joon, Hyeri, veteran actor Lee Duk Hwa and Han Sang Jin.

We have all seen the measly and cold character of Kim Joo Won played by Hyun Bin in Secret Garden...I can't wait to see another character he is acting in this drama.

Cable channel tvN is also airing its psychological drama "Heart to Heart" starring Choi Kang Hee and Chun Jung Myeong. The last time I've seen Choi Kang Hee was from Protect the Boss with Ji Sung. This time she plays as the timid shy Cha Hong Do who suffers from blushing problem whenever she meets people. She then disguises as an old grandlady and works as a housemaid in a big mansion. Hong Do admires her childhood friend, Jang Dong Soo who is the detective and even sends home cooked food for him for 7 years but doesn't have the gut to meet him face to face. She meets the arrogant psychiatrist Go Yi Suk from a rich family who also suffers a trauma problem after his elder brother's death.

I am quite a fan of Chun Jung Myeong after seeing him in Real Men variety program in the military suit. He used to be a the 'Red Devil' team leader in the army camp. Now he's playing the arrogant doctor who can't even treat himself and succeed in treating others?

There's Wonder Girls' member Ahn So Hee playing as his younger sister. Lee Jae Yoon who last appeared in Golden Rainbow drama alongside with UEE and Jung Il Woo, this round he plays as the detective Jang Dong Soo whom Hong Do has a crush on.  He has such a warm and nice personality in this drama. Looking forward to see how he goes along with the main leads.

For now, Kill Me Heal Me got my thumbs up after watching the first 2 episodes. Good ratings too!
I can't wait to see more weird transformations from Ji Sung. It's hillarious and to be honest, he hasn't aged much after his last drama and after his marriage too! *swoons*
