Review on tvN's variety program- 3 Meals a Day "삼시세끼"

While I was lying on the hotel room in Busan, I managed to watch a few episodes of tvN's latest reality program titled '3 Meals a Day (Sam si seh gi) starring actor Lee Seo Jin and idol singer Ok Taecyeon. For those who are familiar with the KBS long family drama 'Wonderful Days' both Seo Jin and Taecyeon were playing as siblings in the drama. This round PD Na Young Suk who is famous for directing the 1 Night 2 Days program got the 2 actors to cook 3 meals a day while staying at a rural village in Gangwon-do.

The program gathered many interest from the public as to how the rich elevated Lee Seo Jin has to prepare and cook meals for the guests on the variety show. Taecyeon being the young and idol has no idea on cooking much so he'd be supporting his senior in this show.
Seo Jin already earns a nickname as 'Seo Jinnie' in Na PD's program Grandpa over Flowers. He is hopeless in cooking and tries hard to impress the elders.

This program started to air on October 17th and among the guests listed on the show were veteran actresses, Yoon Yeo Jung & Choi Hwa Jung who played as their respective mothers in Wonderful Days. There's also the entire elders from Grandpa over Flowers who showed up as guests.

Rest of the co-actors in Wonderful Days were invited over to see the skills displayed by Seo Jin and Taecyeon. Ha ha! Actresses such as Go Ara and Choi Ji Woo were among the special guests to be invited over to the show.

To be honest I find it hillariously weird seeing Seo Jin to clean, cook and do everything from scratch in the wilderness to impress the guests on the show.

As everyone knows Lee Seo Jin comes from a wealthy influential family of finance and business. He himself is even educated in the US
so he is sort of born with a silver spoon son. His antics and expressions are funny when it comes to doing housekeeping and been ordered to do things out of his comfort zone. Ha ha! Then comes in Taecyeon who is adorably akward as he is dazed and tries hard to fit into whatever the elders tell him to do. Seo Jin being the 'mama' ordering Taecyeon is comical too.

I cannot imagine our uptight Prosecutor Kang Dong Suk (the role played by Seo Jin in Wonderful Days) has to dirty his hands and cooked in the old fashioned way for his guests even in the harsh weather. LOL!

Then there's our hot headed Kang Dong Hui (role played by Taecyeon in Wonderful Days) helping out without grumbling and playing with the little white puppy called 'Ming Ggu' in the village house. What a comical sight! For rating, I'd give this 4/5 stars for this show. Love it!

Na PD has mentioned in 2014 Viewers Media Fair concert talk that among all the celebrities he has met- so far Lee Seo Jin is the best. His character is no difference whether he is on or off the camera set. This shows Seo Jinnie is very down to earth in real life! :)

If you are looking to view some of Seo Jin's older dramas, there are some to be named such as Yi San (periodic drama) with Lee Sun Jae & Han Ji Min and Lovers with Kim Jung Eun.
