South Korea Trip 14th Oct - 16th October 2014

We boarded Dragon Air Express (the first morning flight from Penang Intl Airport) on 14th October and arrived in Hong Kong around noon. Then we sat in Hong Kong airport for 3 hours before we flew into Incheon Airport and arrived around 8.30pm. We arrived in Myeongdong Guesthouse around 9.30pm and it was time for bed. Tired!

The statue Haechi in front of Gyeongbukgung Palace
The next day we headed to Gwanghwamun Sq and visited Gyeongbukgung Palace strolling down the Cheongyecheon Stream. As for lunch we met a friendly businessman who helped us to walk from the stream to Gwangjang Market for lunch. Boribap was what we had-
healthy bibimbap without any meat but lots of vege. Then we saw one of the Infinity Challenge program hosts- Jeong Jun Ha who happened to be filming on site. Fans were running around trying to take some photos. The filming began in front of King Sejong's statue and the crew headed to Gwangjang Market as well later in the afternoon.

We had some pancake, drinks and bought some groceries at Gwangjang Market before heading off to Dongdaemun Market and shopping town. Doota has changed a lot and became more up market, more expensive. We bought things at Migliore and Hello Am/Pm.

A view of N-Seoul Tower with the autumn foliage
On the 16th, we walked from Myeongdong to Namsangol Hanok village which is nearby at Chungmuro station. It is free entrance and many tourists visit there. You can get a glimpse of Seoul Tower from the village. The village displays the traditional houses, ways of how people make shoes from scratch, traditional games, nobles' houses and maids quarters to a small souvenir shop displaying the traditional robes worn by nobles and royal families.

Rather interesting and it was good sunny weather. The temperature starts to drop during the evening and it was cool at 11-15 degrees. Love it!
