What's With the Family? 가족끼리 왜 이래 drama

KBS has launched its new long weekend drama titled 'What's with the Family?'- 가족끼리 왜 이래 after their successful drama Wonderful Days ended.

Now with this new drama featuring veteran actors such as Yoo Dong Geun, Kim Hyun Joo, Kim Sang Kyung, Yoon Park, Park Hyung Sik, Nam Ji Hyun, Sohn Dam Bi and Seo Kang Jun...it promises to deliver an entertaining and family wishful story.

It starts with a tofu seller, Cha Soon Bong who has a dysfunctional family after his wife passed away. His younger sister lives with them and helps along with her son in law's fried chicken restaurant. Cha has 3 children- Cha Kang Sim (Kim Hyun Joo) who works as a PA for the big Daeoh Company, Cha Kang Jae (Yoon Park) who is an oncologist in a hospital and youngest son Dal Bong (Park Hyung Sik) who is unemployed and lazing around.

The 3 children stirs trouble around for the old father when they either refused to get married or someone arrives at their door step asking their hand for marriage. LOL! Dal Bong was the first case when one day Kang Seo Wool (Nam Ji Hyun) arrives innocently asking marriage with him. She tells him she saved his life at the river 12 years ago and he promised to marry her when they become adults. Kang Jae's affair with his junior left him scarred and his current hospital Director Kwon is eyeing for him to be his future son in law.

The most hillarious part is Kang Sim and her new Director Moon Tae Ju (Kim Sang Kyung) who has weird, cold and childish character in the company. His father the CEO wants to remarry his long time sweetheart, Seul Hee a pretty broadcaster but he is against the marriage. He is stuck up and plays tricks on Kang Sim thinking she would give in. Dal Bong's once best friend turned enemy, Yoon Eun Ho (Seo Kang Jun) shows up sending him in fear as he was the boy whom Seo Wool saved at the river side.Eun Ho is a chaebol's son and his mother the woman who will be marrying Tae Ju's father.

I loved this drama because of Park Hyung Sik, Seo Kang Jun & Kim Hyun Joo. They were funny and delivered their roles so well. Kim Hyun Joo has been leading long weekend dramas for a while...she was great in Twinkle Twinkle. Seo Kang Jun with his beautiful doe deer eyes as the Eun Ho captures the attention of all girls and Hyung Sik fresh face from MBC's Real Men puts ZE:A into the spotlight and stands out his cuddly character as Dal Bong.

Tae Ju and his father's relationship are the funniest to watch as well as father-son often argue even inside the company & in front of employees. The boring scenes are mostly when Cha's younger sister with his useless daughter Yeong Seol and son in law episodes. They are nosy and lack of ummph... but will fast forward them whenever I see their screen times.
